An Unexpected Incident at Haridwar Railway Station

haridwar

Last week, in mid-December 2025, I went on a short trip to Rishikesh with one of my close friends.
The trip was peaceful, refreshing, and exactly what we needed.
But while returning home, something happened that made me feel I should share this story with all of you.

So let me start from the beginning.

Waiting at Haridwar Junction

I was standing at Haridwar Junction, completely lost in my phone.
Scrolling reels, checking social media, watching random YouTube videos — you know, the usual stuff we all do while waiting.

My phone battery was around 50%, and I wasn’t worried at all.

In my mind, everything was sorted.
The train was supposed to arrive at 11 PM, and I thought, “I’ll just charge my phone once I’m inside the train.”
No tension. No stress.

So I kept using my phone.

The First Problem Appears

After some time, I noticed my battery had dropped to 30%.
Out of curiosity, I checked the train status.

And that’s when things changed.

The train was 1 full hour late.

Now here’s the real issue — my phone battery doesn’t last very long.
I knew that if the train got delayed even more, my phone wouldn’t survive.

So I quickly took out my charger, found a socket nearby, and plugged it in.

I waited.

Nothing happened.

No light. No charging.

Tension Starts Building

I waited a bit longer and realized there was no power in the socket at all.
By now, my battery had dropped to 25%, and my tension started increasing.

I walked straight to the enquiry counter and told them that the socket wasn’t working.
I asked when it would be fixed.

The reply was simple and disappointing:

“It won’t work. It’s broken. Please find another place to charge.”

I came back and sat quietly.

My friend looked at me and asked what happened.
Before I could even finish, he started teasing me:

“I told you again and again not to use your phone so much.
Look, now you’re stuck.”

I didn’t reply.

One Decision That Changed Everything

I stayed calm for a few minutes.
Then, without thinking much, I picked up my phone again.

My friend immediately stopped me:

“Bro, seriously, keep the phone away now.”

I ignored him.

Instead, I clicked one photo and posted it on X (Twitter), explaining the issue at Haridwar Junction.

My friend laughed and said:

“Who will even see your tweet at 12 midnight?”

But deep inside, I had a strange belief.

I felt this would work.

The Unexpected Twist

Around 10 minutes later, something unbelievable happened.

Suddenly, all the sockets started working.

People across the station rushed to plug in their phones.
Everyone started charging.

My friend just stared at my face in shock and said:

“Bro… your tweet actually worked.”

A Small Action, A Big Result

At that moment, I realized something important.

We often think that small actions don’t matter.
But sometimes, a simple post, written at the right place, can solve problems for many people at once.

I also thought about someone — maybe a girl at the station whose phone had died.
She might not have been able to call home or talk to anyone.

That one small tweet might have helped her too.

I smiled and told my friend:

“Look how many people are here.
I helped all of them, and nobody even knows it was me.”

The Message Behind This Incident

This was just a small incident.

If you want to see meaning in it, there is a strong message.
If you don’t, then it’s just a story.

Sometimes, we only need to be a little aware.
Problems don’t always need big solutions — just the right approach.
