Hello readers,
I hope you all are doing well. Today I want to share my personal Rishikesh trip experience. I went on this trip with some old and some new friends. After college, it had been a long time since we all travelled together, so we were very excited.
Starting the Journey – Mussoorie Express from Ghaziabad
Our journey started from Ghaziabad Junction. We had to take the Mussoorie Express.
The train was around 10 minutes late, but that did not break our mood.
We were four friends on this trip:
- Ritik
- Me
- Vishwajeet
- Varun
As soon as we got into the train, we started laughing, joking, and talking. After some time, everyone sat on their seats comfortably and waited for Haridwar to come.

Reaching Haridwar – Too Many Auto Drivers
The train reached Haridwar Junction on time.
The moment we stepped out of the station, many auto drivers came to us. They started asking:
- “Har Ki Pauri?”
- “Rishikesh?”
- “Bhai auto chalo?”
But our plan was simple—we wanted to reach Rishikesh first, take a room, and freshen up.
Taking the Government Bus to Rishikesh
Instead of taking an auto, we walked a little ahead to the Government Bus Stand.
From there, we found a bus to Rishikesh very easily.
The bus ride took around 30 minutes, and we reached the Rishikesh Bus Stand.
It was cheap, fast, and comfortable—perfect for a budget trip.

Funny Moment at Scooty Rental
After getting down at Rishikesh, scooty rental people came to us immediately.
Two people came to Ritik, and one of them had a slight speech issue. When he talked, it sounded a little funny, and I almost laughed, but I controlled myself.
Then we took an auto towards Ram Jhula, but the auto driver said:
“I don’t have permission to go till Ram Jhula. I will drop you 100 meters before.”
We agreed and continued.
Searching for a Room – Rates Were Too High
When we reached the Ram Jhula area, we started looking for rooms.
But the room rates were very high everywhere.
At the same time, I was feeling uncomfortable and urgently wanted to freshen up.
So I kept telling Ritik:
“Please take a room fast, yaar.”
Varun jokingly said:
“If it’s that urgent, tell us. We will do something.”
Renting a Scooty – Best Deal for ₹400
Since we were not getting a room, we decided to rent a scooty first.
At one shop, they wrote:
3 hours – ₹300
We didn’t take it.
We went back to the Rishikesh Auto Stand, and Ritik said we should all check different shops.
We got these prices:
- One shop: ₹450/day
- Another shop: ₹400/day
So we took the scooty for ₹400, which was a better deal.

Frustration Level High – Just Want a Room Now
At this point, I was completely frustrated and tired.
I again requested Ritik:
“Please find a room fast. I can’t wait anymore.”
Ritik and Vishwajeet went to look for rooms.
After 5 minutes, they didn’t return, so I went to check.
There I saw Vishwajeet filling a form.
I asked:
“Give me the room key.”
And he said:
“Room is already open. Just go.”
Finally Fresh and Relaxed – Best Feeling of the Morning
I immediately went into the room and freshened up.
The moment I washed up, I felt completely relaxed.
It felt like:
“Now my trip has actually started.”
And just like that, our journey from Ghaziabad to Rishikesh became memorable—full of fun, problems, jokes, and real travel moments.
